Frequently
Asked
Questions

How long is a session?

Sessions are typically around 3 hours.  This length strikes a balance with enough time to make visible progress and short enough to stay focused and avoid decision fatigue.  We work at the client's pace, and you'll have a guide every step of the way.

What if I need more help later?

You can always book additional sessions or transition to a monthly support plan to keep the momentum going.

3

Do I need to be present for the session?

It depends on your goals and the type of support you are looking for.  Many clients find it most helpful to be actively involved, especially when we are making decisions or working through habits and mindset.  That said, once key decisions are made, some clients choose to step away while I organize, sort, or reset the space.

4

Should I tidy before you come?

Please don't tidy ahead of a session.  Seeing a space as it truly functions (or doesn't) helps me best support you.  There's zero judgment and your space does not reflect your worth or ability.

5

How is this different than just doing it myself?

I can help you get clear on why things aren't working, and what to do about it for the long term.  As a professional organizer and coach I bring structure, accountability and a trained eye to things you might not even realize are impacting you.  Together we make decisions, shift habits and set up systems so they stick.

6

Can I gift this to someone else?

Yes, with care.  Organizing is very personal, and the best results happen when the person receiving the support is ready and willing.  Reach out and we can work through options and what might be most helpful.

7

Do you bring supplies?  Do I need to buy anything in advance?

I bring basic supplies to support the decluttering process, like garbage bags, sorting bins and boxes for donations.  If organizing products are needed later, I'll give you specific recommendations. No need to buy anything in advance, and we always start by working with what you already have.

What's the difference between organizing and coaching?

Organizing focuses on the physical space with decluttering, setting up systems, and making your home work better for you.  Coaching goes deeper.  Through focused questions, we explore the patterns, beliefs and habits that contribute to disorganization so you can make intentional lasting change.  My higher-tier packages include dedicated 1:1 coaching sessions, but I bring a curious coaching mindset to all of my work.

9

Do I need coaching, or just organizing help?

It depends on your goals.  If you're looking for lasting change, especially if you've tried organizing before and it didn't stick, coaching can make a big difference.

10

Can I do coaching without the organizing sessions?

Yes!  Some clients come to me just for coaching and others add it to their organizing work for deeper, more lasting results.  If you interested in learning more about coaching and how it can support you, click here to visit the coaching page.
